Today’s post is from Kathleen Garvin with The Penny Hoarder.

Maybe an old phone is lying around. Or maybe you want to upgrade at the recent Apple event.

Either way, there is money to be spent on selling your old equipment.

I’ve decided to sell my iPhone X (64GB, unlocked). I had it for almost two years before upgrading to a new phone, the iPhone12. After I bought my new smartphone, my old one just sat around in a broken case collecting dust.

It was time to get into sales. But where? Thanks to the internet, there are more ways than ever to sell cell phones.

Top places to sell your smartphone

Whether you’re living from paycheck to paycheck or just want to dump your phone for extra cash, check out these top options.

1. Buy back boss

Buyback Boss currently accepts iPhones and iPads. However, the service offers the highest price guarantee: if you provide an up-to-date offer from a buyback site for the same device, Buyback Boss will agree to it.

Choose your phone, network (like At & T, Verizon etc), storage capacity and condition – brand new, like new, used, damaged or defective. Then you will receive an offer.

Shipping is free (Buyback Boss will give you a prepaid label) and you can ship your item in a box or padded envelope. You are paid by check or PayPal and receive payment as soon as your item arrives. Talk about hassle-free sales.

As an example, my Apple iPhone X (64 GB in good condition) received an offer from $ 245.

Instead, list your suggested price and the buyer will either accept it or make a counter offer.
