Who doesn’t love getting free stuff for normal activities? This is why airline mile malls are such an exciting prospect. Almost every airline has a miles program. Most consumers earn miles by flying or using a credit card.
The biggest secret airlines keep, however, is that many airlines also have mile malls where consumers can shop online through regular retailers and earn miles (sometimes up to 4 miles per dollar spent!).
These are websites that consumers typically shop through like Target, Nordstrom, Apple, etc. You can even earn extra miles in-store by registering your credit card or debit card number with the Mileage Plus Mall. You will then collect points every time your registered card is used in participating stores.
This is how online airline miles malls work
Airline mile malls reward you with miles for the expenses you would normally be making anyway. Almost every operating airline has some kind of partnership agreement where you can earn airline miles for purchases.
Some limit mileage accrual to a select few partners, while others allow you to shop online or in stores almost anywhere. It’s easy to see how those airline miles can add up quickly with your regular shopping!
