Branding Resources For Beginners – Smart Passive Income

Just getting started in your online business, branding and website launch? We know how hard it is to find and launch a great business idea while facing the doubts and hurdles new entrepreneurs face. Since the world opened again this spring, we’ve heard of a lot of people excited – and nervous – about starting a business now that they see light on the horizon.

In fact, Pat told us that his inbox was recently flooded with emails that read something like this:

“Pat, I want to finally get my idea going and put a website online, but I have no idea where to start. Can you help?”

    We can certainly Help.

In fact, we’ve had an amazing resource just for this purpose for a while – we just haven’t been promoting it as well as we can.

We wanted to fix that – that’s why this week is Beginner week here at SPI! And the heart of the beginner’s week is (you might have guessed it) ours) Build Your Own Brand (BYOB) course.

BYOB has always been 100% free, but this week we’re bringing you even more value when you sign up by offering the opportunity to become a member free master class hosted by Pat next Monday July 26th. In the master class, BYOB students can ask questions and learn how to find their website and build an audience.

In the rest of this post, I’d like to share some resources from the SPI archives to help you get started in branding and building your new online business. Then check them out sign up for BYOB. You will see a link for the July 26th master class in one of the early lessons. You will also receive encouraging emails from Pat for the rest of this week as you progress through the course!

It should come as no surprise that we’re huge niche fans here at SPI. But we understand that the idea of selecting a smaller audience can seem daunting and counter-intuitive. Pat elaborates on the reasons for targeting a more focused market.

Original branding by Patrick Hanlon: SPI Book Club issue 60 | April 2019

Patrick Hanlon’s Primal Branding explores why some brands work and thrive while others don’t. Hanlon delves into human nature to describe why brands outperform others, including our need to belong, our love of creative stories, and our fascination with memorable icons like logos and jingles and the importance of a creed.

AP 1153: How do I best describe and position my company and my work for others? What can I say?

In this episode of AskPat 2.0, Jay wonders how best to describe and position his business and work for others. How do you optimize your messages? How do you know when you did it? Pat and Jay cover this on their coaching call.
