The winners are selected in a five-stage selection process. First, Wealth Professional calls and collects nominations. Then the award team does in-depth research to narrow the list down. Once this is done, the finalists will be selected.
All finalists will then be presented to an external jury made up of senior financial industry leaders and senior officials who will vote for the winners in each category. After the judges vote, the scores are aggregated to give a single winner in each category. This process is fully verified by PwC Canada as the Official Election Accountants. Finally the winners will be announced.
James Burton, Managing Editor of Wealth Professional Canada, said, “It has been a wild year that has put the advisory community to the test. From the market crash caused by a pandemic, to the speed of the upswing, to helping customers who have lost loved ones to this terrible virus.
“The best in the business have of course mastered this journey with serenity, not only through returns, but also through customer communication, which has taken on a whole new dimension in the last 12 months. It is our pleasure to recognize, honor and celebrate the best in class of the year at our awards ceremony. “
We’d like to thank our readers for the incredible response to the nationwide call for nominations, as well as our valued event sponsors for supporting outstanding professional performance. Further information can be found at https://wpawards.ca/.
