Grocery shopping worth $ 70 last week

I shared this on Instagram Stories last week and people loved it. It’s a really written down shopping list – just like I usually use it. It’s not pretty or inspirational or color-coded or fancy, but it does the job and it works for me.

Sometimes I think we are trying to complicate things or we feel like we have to plan menus or do groceries or write grocery lists like other people. If a nicely written list or a fancy spreadsheet or a cool printable shopping list is your thing, go for it! But, know that keeping it super simple and maybe a little sloppy – if it works for you is okay too!

I was excited to find tagged avocados and chicken in the past week! I love having half an avocado on my salad every day. And in case you didn’t know, if you put avocados in the refrigerator, it almost completely stops their ripening, so they will keep much longer!

Our fair had Get In Free Night when you bought 4 donation items per person to donate to a local animal shelter. I looked at their urgent needs list and was so excited I had these items on hand that I had made great sales with coupons! So we got 5 of us into the fair for free!

We used the oat silk instead of milk to make french toast with the Everything Bread last week. It turned out so delicious!

I loved the chopped lettuce that I marked. It was a new version for me and it was delicious! I ate it for lunch one day last week.

Our usual Kroger was completely sold out of the Snack Saks while shopping … which Silas was very disappointed with because he was excited that they were on sale.

But we went to another Kroger store in a different part of town and they still had some in stock. Plus they also had the Purex laundry soap,

The laundry soap went up for sale Buy One, Get One Free – so only $ 2.14 each.

This girl is so expressive and puts such a smile on our faces and a laugh in our home all the time!
