If you’ve bought a real Christmas tree at Ikea for £ 29 in November or December, the offer we launched on MoneySavingExpert.com will give you a £ 20 voucher that you can purchase between Monday the 18th of December. You can redeem them at Ikea on January 28th and Sunday, February 28th.
Since the voucher can only be used in-store (and not online), Ikea had already extended the validity of the voucher to Sunday, April 18 earlier this year, when its stores were temporarily closed due to lockouts.
Given that non-essential retailers across England, Scotland and Wales only reopened after restrictions were eased (they remain closed in Northern Ireland), Ikea has extended the validity of the vouchers again – this time until August 1, 2021.
Ikea adds that any later-imposed or new restrictions will be taken into account so that people have enough time to redeem their coupons. For more information on cutting costs at the Swedish furniture seller, check out our blog with tips and hacks on Ikea MoneySaving.
Vouchers can only be issued in certain branches
Ikea’s stores in England, Scotland and Wales are currently open for browsing while the Belfast store will remain closed except for click and collect services.
Note, however, that vouchers can only be issued in participating stores. Non-participating stores are: Greenwich, Manchester, Norwich and the Planning Studio on Tottenham Court Road, London.
Coupons can be issued on most items with few exclusions, including all items purchased in the restaurant, Swedish Food Bistro, or kitchen planning.
