This is Journal Club 6/11/21! I hold a JOURNAL CLUB every week. After filtering the articles on the web, I present some that have had an impact on my life this week. Be safe and stay healthy!

What does freedom look like for you? Is it the opportunity to travel more, the joy of being out of debt, or something else? Many people have shared that creating and keeping a budget has helped them gain financial freedom (and even retire early for some). But what if your budgeting behavior steals your financial freedom? Love, success and socks published an article sharing the top household myths that can steal your financial freedom In this article, I strongly recommend reading it.

Speaking of freedom – is FIRE really a dream for you? How many of you have dreamed of something just so that the reality of that dream would not be achieved? Fire and wide shares: “FIRE is one of the ultimate dreams of its kind for many people. At a time when all your hard work is rewarded.” Does FIRE seem like the right dream for you? Check out this post from Fire and Wide and find out.

You may think: “I love my job, I am not worried about reaching FIRE”. Some people think that if they love their job, have great advantages, and have a great boss, they have no reason to gain financial independence and retire early. The Darwinist Doctor contradicts and emphasizes to her audience that “nothing lasts forever”. So if you are one of those people who don’t feel the need to chase FIRE because you love your job, you have to read this post.

Traveling to FIRE does not mean enjoying life. Many people think that you have to spend less and live less to achieve FIRE. Careful plastic surgeon believes that YOLO (you only live once) and FIRE are both very important philosophies. So if you’re struggling to find the perfect intersection between these two philosophies (or you’re looking for a way to enjoy both at the same time), then This article is for you.

That’s it for this week! Hope Journal Club 6/11/21 has been helpful to you.

Finally, a little bit of motivation below. Have fun and a nice weekend!
