Hey hey hey!
The sun is shining, the market continues and once again crypto talk was minimal. This time around, however, we don’t hear much about Gamestop, AMC, etc. It almost feels like things are back to normal….
If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been a little downcast with all this Covid lock-down stuff for a while, but this month things started to open up. People get these vaccines left and right and center. Hell, I even got my first one this month and I was undecided about it. Woman got her double dose with no symptoms or anything. (pfizer / moderna mix) I got good old pfizer from Shopper Drug Mart, a little sore arm on the second day and I felt tired at night. Not that bad.
This month we used all our liberties again. Myself and the wife went to dinner by the lake one evening, we went to the zoo for Father’s Day. (Pretty cool tried Brantford Zoo, first time there) We just got back from one of our favorite campsites (The Pinery) with about 20 of us. All of them were fantastic to see as we haven’t seen some in over a year.
Life was great.
All right, let’s get to our passive income in June 2021
Increases or decreases
Sorry, no raise this month, but positively no cuts! I have to fill the glass. =)
Total income from dividend increases in 2021 – $ 122.74

13 stocks dripped in June – sweet!
Less than 10% growth rate, but I’m happy with it. We have sold many of these monthly payers into quarterly payments. However, selling bpy still hurts, that was a big payment to replace.
Finally got the first xaw drop. Slowly but surely, only $ 250 a month.
If you’re interested, check out our previous dividend reports.
Our drops (dividend reinvestment program) added $ 26.16 to our annual forward dividends this month
Private investment payment – $ 500.00
Nothing new here, just our regular monthly payment. (I don’t even have to edit this part every month) Steady Eddy …….
Income from solar panels
In May (we always get paid a month later) our solar system generated 1,148 kWh. Since we are bringing in a fixed price of 28.8 cents per kilowatt hour, Hydro One paid in $ 330.91 this month to our current account.
Last May the system generated $338.40 Pretty close.
Total income for 2021 – $ 1,034.49
System installed in January 2018
Total system costs ——– $ 32,396.46
Total Income Received ——– $ 8,521.30
Break-even amount – $ -23,875.16
Total passive income in June 2021 – $ 1,615.83
June 2020 Passive Income – $ 1,588.23
Increase in total passive income compared to the previous year. – $ 27.60
A little disappointing to see this, but its growth nonetheless. $ 1,600 is still damn good, haha =)
TOffers for 2021
Total dividends year to date – $ 3,795.67
Other residual income for the previous year – $ 4,567.42
Total passive income for 2021 —– $ 8,363.09
Year-end target – $ 17,390.71 ——–% 48.08
Slightly back, but a huge leap from last month. We should be getting 8.3% a month and after 6 months we should be at 49.80%. I think by the end of next month we will be ahead of the target.
June 2021 purchases / sales
We sold our position in Interpipeline last month. The share price exceeded potential buyout prices and actually had a very small 1% gain. We decided to pay out the money and use it again. Loss of income – $ 99.84
We decided to add another 33 stocks to our position.
One of my favorite dividend growing stocks in Canada. We have increased our portfolio by a further 19 shares. These added 46.74 future dividends.
One of our smaller positions that I wanted to expand. This month we added 22 more stocks. That added $ 62.48 in dividends and it’s only a matter of time before regulators let these banks raise their dividends again.
You can read about these movements here.
9 more xaws have also been added to the portfolio.
In total, we added $ 128.92 to this appointment income in the past month with new purchases / sales. Not that bad.
Update of financial targets
Raise dividends this year by $ 1,680.19. (which increases our forward dividend income to $ 8,329.13 per year)
- We have further expanded our dividend portfolio with new purchases, drips and dividend increases. The total increase so far in 2021 is $ 649.47 38.65% of our goal.
Minimum monthly purchase of $ 250
- This month we added 9 more units of xaw etf.
- Questrade * is great because it offers free ETF trades and cheaper stock trading options than most Canadian brokers. $ 250.00 a month would kill us if we had to pay high trading fees.
- * Note that the Questrade link is an affiliate link and at no additional cost to you I would receive a small payment if you sign up. However, you could get $ 50 in free trades using my link.
June 2021 Conclusion on passive income
A fantastic month on all fronts. Life is good and dividends keep rolling in. While I am behind on some destinations due to some not so cheap purchases (playground & California blinds), there is still a lot of time in the year. I hope you all had a wonderful month too.
What did you do in june? Are you on track with your goals?
Yolo you only live once. This is nonsense, you only die once. Go live your best life. =)
Hey, I’m Rob, Canadian Passive Income Creator.
In 2011, my wife and I were nearly $ 60,000 in debt and $ 7,000 in negative net worth. We paid for all of this through hard work and financial education. Now let’s focus on increasing our passive income streams to make the money work for us.
