    Today we’re talking about how to overcome perfectionism in sales.

    Have a script for sales

    What do i say when Or how do I react to it? Can you give me a script? Can you give me a sales formula? Yes! I can give you a script and formula that will work.

    However, I’ve noticed that people get stuck with scripts and formulas. They are so obsessed with getting the script and formula perfect that they messed up sales.

    When making sales, you need to know what to say and how to deal with objections. In addition, other sales components know how to close, pitch and pre-qualify, which we cover in Persuade to Profit.

    If you stick to being perfect, you won’t be making sales. And unfortunately women struggle with perfectionism.

    If your script isn’t working, it could be because you’re trying to follow a script that honestly doesn’t suit your personality, or maybe something is happening internally that is causing some blockages for you. Then I see salespeople obsessed with scripting, ideally selling, and getting results.

    The negative pressures of perfectionism

    Perfectionism puts undue pressure on ourselves, but not in a positive way, as it takes you out of your brilliance. When you worry about being perfect, don’t think about your client or prospect. You do not think about their needs and you are not present. With such a focus on perfectionism, you are breaking the first rule of sales which says that selling is not about you; It’s about helping the other person.

    One book I recommend frequently is Overcoming Under Earning by Barbara Stanny. And I believe perfectionism is emerging and why we as women have this conditioning.

    Happiness is hard work

    It is very dangerous if you base your luck on an outcome that you are not necessarily in control of. For example, you have control over how many people you call and how many sales calls you have, but you have no control over whether or not they say yes.

    If someone says no to you, now it’s all about how you react. It takes skills to respond, but it is not manipulation or coercion because you have never deprived anybody of a choice. If you have perfectionist tendencies it will ruin your sales if you want people to like you.

    Lore and revision to achieve perfectionism

    When you struggle with perfectionism, you can be doing too much work; You will have loose borders. You come into this sales pitch with a “please hire me” mood.

    When people talk about money, the sales pitch can get awkward, then when it turns financial because you’re afraid of offending someone and you want to be light. So you’re not doing your job, which is to process their objections and make sure their problems are resolved.

    Lisa says, “When I made the big move from not doing sales to making cell phones, I found that being a sales pitch was like being a mom.” She continues, “You hold the room, see her brilliance and kick them in the butt when you need to and that’s all you have to do. It wasn’t about my being liked or what I had to offer, it was just about them, what they wanted and their efforts and saying that I am the person who can hold you accountable. “

    “It’s important to understand the difference between liked and respected because I know that there are definitely areas in my early career, especially in my first business, where the fear of not being liked was paramount,” explains Lisa.

    I see this keep people so small in many ways. They are not as visible as they should be in their companies. They don’t deal with objections the way they should be. They don’t follow because they don’t want to seem annoying.

    Perfect perfection: You are responsible for the feelings of others

    You are not responsible for the feelings of others. They are grown up as adults and are responsible for their own feelings. This realization can be a huge turning point that can help you make money in your business.

    How perfectionism can stand in the way of closing a sale

    With this way of focusing on your perfectionist tendencies, you are completely focused on yourself and not on the prospect who is backward. Instead, all energy should be put into the possibility of solving their problem.

    When you worry about following a script to perfection or worrying about how you will fare, you lose sight of your goal. And the only reason people buy something is if you solve a problem for them. But when you are so focused on yourself and your perfectionism, you cannot focus and solve their problem. You stick with a scarcity mindset that you have to be perfect to get the money.

    The difference between mastery and perfectionism

    There is a difference between mastery and perfectionism. Mastery is when you have the skills and knowledge to achieve an end goal. The only way to mastery is through disciplined practice.

    Focusing on mastering a range of skills takes the pressure off you.

    I’m not focusing on perfecting this thing; I focus on mastering.

    Perfectionism as a badge of honor

    I know that many women struggle with the thought that all you have to do yourself, like it was a badge of honor, because you fought your way through and did everything. You juggled all of the plates instead of asking for help because you felt you had to get it right. I see it again and again when women refuse to hire help or ask for help because they feel they have to do everything themselves. Otherwise they are not valuable.

    If you are not being sold by your worth, you cannot close anyone down. Period. It doesn’t happen.

    And confirmation does not come from others. If you’ve lived your whole life waiting for other people to approve of what you’re doing, then you’re screwed.

    Believe you are worthy and know you can get it. Then with diligence and daily practice you will believe in yourself.

    Whatever you need to do to make sure the vibration of worthiness stays high, do it.

    I take five hours in the morning to take care of myself before I start my work day. I know not everyone can do that. I still work seven days a week, but I hold that vision.

    Create your reality to hold your vision

    I know it will happen. I hold the vision and start making decisions. As if I was already there, I’m already starting to train my mind so that you are a winner and you are a rich woman and you deserve it. When you see yourself in this room, ask yourself how is it doing available to me? Because if it is available to others, it is also available to me. There is no difference between myself and other people who have achieved a similar goal.

    Change your identity to overcome perfectionism

    In order to overcome perfectionism, an identity shift must take place. It is powerful because you are going to a whole new vibration that attracts the right people and the right opportunities.

    Setting aside perfectionism for making growth flaws

    You have to make mistakes in order to grow. That’s how you learn. The problem is that we get stuck with our mistakes because we are set on perfectionism. And that is the fear of making mistakes for both men and women, because this concept is deeply rooted in us as young school children.
