Review of the year 2021 – Amanda Abella

Let’s recap 2021 – not as crazy as 2020 but still with enough surprises on this last year’s trip worth mentioning. So let’s look back to 2021 and review what worked, what didn’t, and what I think will be great in 2022! Last year my company’s turnover doubled compared to the previous year and 2022 will be a seven-digit year for MMYH.

    Fulfill your company’s vision

I had a vision for this business and how I wanted to start my business, and in March 2021 the world opened up again. With so much demand for people looking to start their own business, this put my company in a great position and in a great position – and most importantly – we were ready for success! So, lesson number one always follows your intuition because my intuition set the schedule and direction of my business.

    Trust the process

Ever since I started my company, I’ve had to learn to trust this process. I put a lot of emphasis on processes and procedures for your team to work effectively and trust in the process got us into 2021 and will lead us into 2022. While this process has not been easy and there have been significant challenges, we remain focused on our mission of 1000 profiteers by 2026 because our mission is to keep us going.

    Switch to paid ads

Entrepreneurs are reluctant to spend money on advertising. So I went for paid ads and I’m glad we made that decision. We’ve been so successful with ads that our customers paid for our ads, which resulted in a good ROI.

We used advertisements to help ensure a successful launch and we have had over 500 customers who have gone through the program. Our clients started getting results within a week of completing the program and that’s super exciting! Many participants in our program have also signed up for Persuade to Profit, a 90-day sales training program.

With the Persuade-to-Profit program, our customers achieved six-figure sales within three months, increased their completion rates by 30% and sold six group coaching cohorts to customers in one year.

Investing in major events in 2022

That was so damn exciting for 2021 when we went to personal events again! I went to Grant Cardon’s sales processing workshop and I can tell you nobody does customer service like these people do.

We learned an important lesson about events. We started investing in much higher tier events that cost a hell of a lot more money. However, the level and caliber of people differ significantly. It is people who take you to another level and a higher standard.

    The importance of team development

This year I noticed how important people and team development are for a company. I realized that when I gave the team what it needed and they carried out the plan on their own. Because of this, the self-confidence of the entire team soars. I’ve seen them grow so much in just a few weeks – the team growth is just overwhelming.

Building a sustainable company in 2022

When I think about my business, I want a sustainable company that can run without me if necessary. Remember, it takes time to step back from your business and you need to trust this process. Likewise, building a team to create a sustainable company does not happen overnight. Still, I would like to say that getting help developing the team and having a high level of support is crucial to make the process as smooth as possible.

When you’ve built a business from scratch and have the right team to support you, you know exactly what I’m talking about. That moment when you notice that you are all on the same page and are working together towards the company goal or vision

There is trust in a solid team and you have your backs to one another. As you start building your team you realize that you are no longer running your business on your own and that is an adjustment. So 2022 is definitely a year for more internal personnel development that I have to work on for my company.

    Enter into me

I feel like I am becoming more and more of who I am and what I always have been, but I was too scared to go through this process because the unknown is scary. This is probably the first time in my career that people are commenting on my outfits on Instagram. So say hi to Colleen Coughlin for the editor who taught me how to get dressed, which is a 2021 win.

Come to me and realize that I am in a management position and not just self-employed. I lead communities, clients and my team and that is my job to move forward. Fortunately, I have the right mentorship and help me achieve my career goals.

I don’t waste time figuring out the shit myself. Is there anyone who can help me find out? Great, here is the credit card because I want to roll and move! I’m not too proud to admit that I don’t know what I don’t know.

    Work-life balance

I noticed that there are two different camps when it comes to work-life balance. The camp doesn’t believe that equilibrium can be achieved – which is absolutely true. You cannot find balance the natural way – you have to create your own balance.

Both work and play exist in the same time and space. The problem is, you go through seasons in a store where it’s busier and slower depending on the industry. So I work ahead of time and I focus on my long-term visions and goals. I mean nothing is done in this sentence.

I’m totally fine with a year of focusing on sales, developing my team, and working with people. Next year we will take what we did in 2021 and move on!
